A NOVEL EXPERIMENT, New York, Sept. 23. Fifty convicts in the State prison at Denver, Colorado, including seve’al undergoing life sentences, attended a dramatic performance in a theatre under a strong guard. The play dealt with the convicts’ life in prison, with a highly dramatic outcome. The prison warden hopes that the lessons will be taken to heart. NATIVE TROUBLE. Sydney, Sept. 21. The International Geographical Congress has been postponed until next spring.
