OPENING OF THE BLUFF HILL CLUB.

In spite of the inclemency of the weather yesterday afternoon, there was a full attendance of members at the opening of the Bluff Hill Croquet Club.

On gathering in a group on one of the lawns Mr. H. AV. Brabant briefly addressed the gathering. He "aid that at the request of the President (Mrs. S. McLernon) he would make a few remarks. Besides the opening

Hilton’s services, Mr. Brabant presented her with a velvet rase containing a beautifully-designed gold pendant and neck-chain set with numeroti:' pearls and aq’tia-marines. Air. During the afternoon a photographer took numerous photographs to form mementos of the occasion.
