The Reserves Committee reported having viewed the whole of the Board’s imlet reserves. They assessed upset annual rentals as shown on schedule. Regarding drain through the reserves adjoining the borough park the committee thought the Borough Council should be given notie? to immediately abate the nuisance as water is continually running from the park well on to the board s land. As to the growth of willows on .some of tb.e Napier South reserves the committee suggests that the secret ary be empowered to employ labour in cutting same for a distance ol say one chain from the road boundary. Harding? road sections are not included in the schedule as they may be required for pilot men’s houses. Ad pted. SECRETARY’S REPORT.

The repairs to end of Glasgow Wharf on arroiint of "Hauroto” accident. are being pushed on with as time and tide permit and the breakwater wharves tarred anil sanded. Three yards and IS cubic yards of stone were used in iron Pot whail near D” shed, and 251 yards of rubble placed on West Quay. Messrs. Reidy and Jennings, the contractors for additions to “D shed are making satisfactory progress. Twenty seven • new sleepers and one gift. !"lb rail have been laid on main track near the weighbridge. Ti e feme authorised to be erected -rar the Rifle Range has been put up : 31.' yards of filling done at the stable yard and 170 yards put into Campbell street lagoon. One hundred and forty seven and a half yards of stone have been used widening Breakwater mad No. 2 : s,v; yards of debris widening road (>ast Office to Battery road ; and Is vards of stone at root of Western Mole.
