HASTINGS LAWN TENNIS AND CROQUET CLUB.
The annual report and balanceshcel of the Hasting! Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club (incorporated) shows a profit on the year s working of C 75 191. There was a profit on the Christmas tournament of £25 2 6 ,-ind on the annual ball of £19,-1 5. The excess of assets over liabilities is set down at £3Bl. -All three dub competitions open to all the dubs in Hawke s Bay were won by this club. Tb.c dub’s first grade team has never lost a match since the competitions were inaugurated. Four Hawke’s Bay Championships were won during the past season by members of this club, the Lndies’ Singles by Miss D. AVcilwood, the Combined Doubles by Mrs. G. Maddison and Mr. G. Ebbett, the -fen’s Singles by Mr. G. Ebbett. ami the Men's Double* bv filr. O. Madtlison a.id Mr. 'Ebbett. The dub chv’ipions’nips wa re won by Miss 1-. Ba.’rd and Mr. C. J. Tipping. The estimates for the incoming year provide for an cxpcnd’ture of £!(>() and an income of £l7o, anil calculating on that basis, it will be necessary to incrcas.e the revenue of the dub next year by r.omc inc-ms. At the annual meeting tb.c question of forming a bowling green r.n tb.c club's grounds will be discussed.
