MYSTERIOUS DISAPPEARANCE. San Francisco, Aug. 6. A small army of detectives is ju. t now actively investigating the disap pearanee of Mr. George Skoal, ;•>'■■■ nalist. Mr. Shoaf was engaged some wee.ago in unearthing sidelights on the dvnamite outrage at the Los Ange es “ Tinies ” office, when he suddenly and mvsteriously vanished. The parents of the missing pressman suspect that he is dead, and that he has been the victim of foul play. Mr. Shoaf’s friends have offered a reward of £7lOO for information as to his whereabouts, and have engaged a large force of private detectives to solve the’mystery of his disappearance.
