THE PEACOCK MYSTERY.
A CLUE DISCOVERED. , Melbourne, Sept. 3. The detectives arc 1 baffled with the Davies case. In searching Dr. Peacock’s house they discovered pieces of bone in the ashes of the fire place, and also an apron stained with blood. A pathological examination of these proved indecisive. Police black trackers have discovered in the ashes of a fire on Dr. Peacock’s farm at Carrum the remains of false teeth, a purse, hairpins, and other articles which have been identified as like those owned bv Mary Davies.
