HAWKE’S BAY RUGBY UNION. A meeting of the Management Committee of the Hawke’s Bay Rugby Union was held last evening. Present: .Messrs. A. C. Barnes (Chairman), M. Treston, R. T. Bailey. W. P. AJj-cht'll. and F. Tankard. The Hawke’s Bay Flockey Association returned thanks for a donation of £* 19 G towards the tour oi the Hawke’s Bay ladies’ team. — Received. The Wairoa Sub-union forwarded an appeal from the Waizu Club in regard to the Sub-union’s decision in the matter of the Mohaka v. Waiau match.—The appeal of Hre Waiau Club was upheld. It was decided to telegraph to the Dannevirke Sub-union asking them if they could play here on Wednesday, September 27th (Dominion Day). The New Zealand Rugby Union wrote forwarding names of players disqualified for various offences this season. —Contents noted. The Manawatu Rugby Union wrote stating their inability to send a representative team to Napier this season. —Received with regret. The New Zealand Rugby Union wrote asking this union to forward, not later than September 16th, the names of the chosen representatives from Hawke’s Bay who are prepared to take part in the North v. South match, if selected.—Referred to the Hawke’s Bay selectors. It was decided to wire to the Woodville Football Club asking them if they could play at Napier on Saturday, September 9th. The Sf. John Ambulance Brigade wrote advising that the ambulance kit on the Recreation Ground be restocked.- Request granted. A referee reported two players for fighting last Saturday.--One was disqualified for this season, ami the •the;- was severely cautioned.
