GLOVER GUILTY OF FORGERY. Auckland, Aug. 30. Arthur Glover pleaded not guilty .to charges cf having stolen three cases of drapery, the property ct Milne anil Chc.yce ,and with having ‘forged a telegram purporting to be j an authority of request for the dei livery of the goods, and of having | sent a false telegram purporting to ; be signed by "A. Tanfield.” i The jury, after deliberating for | several hours, returned with a verdict cf guilty on the counts charging i the prisoner with having forged the Itilcgraik and having sent a false te--1 legram. and not guilty on the counts charging him with theft and receiving. Tin* jury also found that since (lie date ;.f rhe sending of the telegram the prisoner hail acted m collusion with Elirman. Sentence was deferred.
