THE COMING ELECTION
HAWKE'S BAY SEAT
Mr. 11. M. Campbell, Opposition candidate for Hawke’s Bay, addressed a representative meeting of the electors in the Eskdale Hall on Tuesday evening. He received a good hearing, and was accorded a hearty vote of thanks. Mr. W. A. H. Kirkham occupied the chair. An informal meeting of Mr. A. L. D. Fraser’s supporters was held in the committee’s rooms, Market street, Hastings, last evening, when a plan of campaign was discussed. The formation of a committee, etc., was held over till the return of Mr. Fraser from Wairoa.
Mr. Campbell’s Hastings committee, with their wives and lady friends, are requested to meet at St. Matthew’s Hall this evening at 8 o’clock.
Mr Campbell will address a special meeting of the Amalgamated Society and Joiners in St. Matthews Hall, Hastings, on Thursday evening.
It is hoped that all those desirous of forwarding Mr. Campbell's candidature will endeavour to be present.
