HIGH SCHOOL MATCHES. THE POLSON SHIELD. New Plymouth. Aug. 28 New Plymouth has had as guests for some days football teams from the Napier and Palmerston North High Schools engaged in the annual triangular contest with the local high school for the possession of the Polson School, won last year by Palmerston. In the first match New Plymouth beat Palmerston by 17 to 8. Then Palmerston beat Napier by 27 to nil. To-day New Plymouth beat Napier by 32 to 8. thus winning the shield for the year.
