FROZEN MEAT.
The C.C .and D. Co., Ltd., have to-day cabled the following report on the frozen meat market: Today’® prices are as follows,: —Canterbury mutton 3gd, Napier, Wellington, and North Island mutton 3fd, prime Canterbury lamb sjd, North Island lamb s|d, beef hindquarters 3|d, beef forequarters 2|d.
Lundon. Stewart an dCo., Limited ,report having held their monthly sale at Petane, yesterday, when they offered a fair yarding of sheep and cattle to a good attendance of buyers. They quote the following sales: —Sheep: 44 fat wethers 19 6, 45 fat ewes 16/-, 36 fat wethers 20'6, 23 forward ewes 9/9, 48 empty ewes 6/-, 31 forward ewes 8/-. 30 woolly hoggets (small) 6/4, 5 woolly hoggets 12/6. Cattle : 4 fat heifers £6/7/ , 27 20-month steers £.3/19'6, 6 store bullocks £6/15/-.
