call the Bill up immediately, and endeavoured to pass over thereto.
Mr. Underwood is confident that he will be able to obtain tbs necessary majority, but he must g-’t Republican support before the necessary two-thirds can be obtained. The Republicans supporting Mr. Taft believe the insurgents will not try to upset the vote.
