: A meeting of the Hawke’s Bay t Provincial Executive of the Farmj ers’ Union was field in Mr. J. A. ; Eraser's office yesterday.

A letter was received from Mr

C. H. Ensor in reference to the establishment of a branch of the Farmers' Political Protection Federation. and suggesting a visit from the organiser (Mr. I). Jones). It was decided to ask Mr. Jones to visit the district, provided the Provincial Executive are called upon to bear the. expense of such visit.

It was resolved to recommend to

the Advisory Committee that an j endeavour be made to have a I clause inserted jn the Shearers' j Accommodation Amendment Act I exempting all owners of 1009 sheep j and under from the provisions of ; the Act.
