CASHEL STREET MYSTERY.

JACK ON TRIAL FOR MURDER

Christchurch. Aug. 18.

Harry Alexander Jack appeared at the Supreme Court to-day, charged with having killed Ethel May Bradley. The case is known as the Cashel Street mystery, in connection with the conviction of Sadler for manslaughter, which was recently upset on appeal. The Crown is proceeding with the case against Jack, who was employed in Sadler’s tobacconist s shop. The evidence given this morning was on the lines of that given at the trial of Sadler.
