FOOTBALL.

Hastings football patrons will have a good bill of fare at the Ridge to-morrow afternoon, the principal attraction being another match between Waimarama and Kautuki. The game is a re-play of the second round fixture, which was won by the former and successfully protested against by Kautuki. As these teams are level for first place in the junior championship, a keen and hard-fought game is sure to be the outcome. < The secretary of the Sub-Union, j Mr. L. F. Pegler, wishes us to correct a slight error in our report of the last meeting of that body. Our issue of Wednesday states that Mr. Henderson, referee in the Waipawa v. Hastings match on Saturday last, wrote regretting having ordered off a Hastings player by mistake The facts are that Mr. ! Henderson regretted a wrong de-1 cision (namely, disallowing a try! when one was undoubtedly scored), j and he also reported a Hastings player whom he had ordered off for offensive language. This player has been asked to appear at the next meeting of the sub-union.

It has been decided that the match between the Napier Boys' High School and Te Ante College will take place on the Napier Recreation Ground to-morrow morning. The two teams are evenly matched, and a good game is expected.
