FIRE SHIPS ON THE HOOGHLY.
Calcutta, Aug. 9.
The Howrah bridge and shipping on the Hooghly river have been in. great danger during the last 24 hours through eight barges full of burning straw floating down the river. It is believed to be the work of anarchists.
