(Received 29, 8.5 a.m.) London, July 28. At the sheepskin sales 8000 bundles were catalogued. There was only a small attendance and a fairly heavy withdrawal compared with June sales. Prices of merino combings were practically unchanged. Merino fine crossbred clothings and fine crossbred combings were a farthing lower and coarse crossbreds a half-penny lower. FROZEN MEAT.
Dalgetv and Company are in rereipt of the following cable advice from their London office under date 27th instant: —Frozen meat : Mutton light id lower, other descriptions of mutton weak. Small lamb since last wire is l-16d to Jd higher, other descriptions of lamb being unchanged. Beef market is weak but nominally unchanged. Sheepskin sales closed dull. As compared with closing rates of last season’s series merino combing skins are par to ]d per lb lower: merino clothing skins lower by- Id to per ib ; crossbred fine id per lb lower ; crossbred coarse and medium Jd lower.
