BLENHEIM FLOODS.

LATEST REPORTS. Blenheim, July 27. Tire flood waters have now receded. Most of the bridges have been strained and are unsafe for traffic. The Opawa river broke through the bank east of Blenheim yesterday. and flooded Dillon’s Point district .some loss of stock resulting. The first mail since Saturday arrived to-day. It was brought by trap from Picton. Molesworth road was washed away in many places. Serious floods are reported in Flaxbourne district. It is hoped to restore train service with Picton to-morrow.
