THE KING’S PRIZE. WON BY A CANADIAN. London, July 23. Private Clifford, a Canadian cabinet-maker ,aged 32, won the King’s Prize. His score was 319. Parish (Australia), who was 15th, with 302, takes £lO. The New Zealand prize-takers were : -
Rifleman Hay, £lO 302 Trooper Marenzi. £o 297 Surgcon-Capt. Mac Knight, £5 297 Private Cox, £5 295 Private Loved ay. £□ 289 Rifleman Roots, £5 280 Rifleman Hay filled ninth place in the St. George’s Challenge Vase competition, and takes £lO. Lord Kitchener presented the prizes. Grant, of South Africa, was second for the King s Prize with a score of 313. Sergeant Ommundson was third with 313.
CORRECTION. (Received 24. 9.30 a.m.) In the firing for the King’s Prize Marenzi scored 298 and Mac Knight 297.
