Hawera, July 22. ' Magistrate Kenrick to-day gave' derision in the case in which Frank Corrigan. ex-bookmaker, was charged with having committed a breach of the (.laming Act. Defendant was warned off the racecourse at the Egniont Winter meeting. and was charged that he did frequent or loiter on the main road adjacent to the course for the purpose of betting. The Magistrate said he was quite satisfied that defendant was there for the purpose stated, and imposed a tine of £3'J with I’d costs.
