! THE NORTHERN ASSCOTA- [ TION. ! Wellington. July IS. The council of the Northern Bowling Association to-night granted an application for the affiliation of the Takaka Club (Nelson). The council considered a letter from the Auckland Provincial Asj sociation stating that the members ' of its associated clubs desired to {tour the North Island next season. Doubt was expressed as to the wisi dom of recognising the Auckland j Provincial Centre as a controlling | body. The association decided to signify its approval of the tour and refer the Auckland association to the various clubs as to arrangeing the programme. I The council concurred in the sug- | gestion to hold a conference in August to consider the amalgamation of the Auckland. Northern and New Zealand Associations, and appointed Messrs A. S. Keith, N. Casey (Auckland), and T. Bush delegates, with power to add in the event of the New Zealand Association sending more than two delegates.
It is understood that the confer enee might be held in Christchurcn or Wellington.
