PRESENTATION TO EXDETECTIVE HILL.

Ex-detective Hall was the recipient of several presentations at Napier yesterdav. A deputation waited on him at his hotel (Central) and asked him to accept, of a purse of sovereigns as a token of their respect. Air. John Higgins made the presentation, and Mr. W. T. Limbrick also spoke. Mr. Hill suitably responded. At the police-station last evening a presentation was made to Mr. Hill by the members of Hie Napier police force. Inspector Dwyer made the presentation, and referred to the willing and energetic work which Mr. Hill had performed during his 14 years of honourable service. Mr. Hill suitably responded in a speech of some length
