GIBBON WAKEFIELD.
PROPOSED STATUE IN WELLINGTON. London, July 14. Sir Charles Lucas and Sir Frederick Young have organised a committee, including Lords Onslow„ Glasgow, and Ranfurly, to erect. ® statue to Gibbon Wakefield at Wellington. Sir Joseph Ward expressed sympathy with the movement. Sir Frederick Young hopes thaft the New Zealand Government will co-operate.
