The deat]! is recorded of Mr. W. Carrodus, of*sPatea. as the result; of an apoplectic seizure. Mr. Carradus was a very old resident •o£ Pat-ea and had been employed by the Railway Department since the line to Hawera was opened. H® was 52 years of age.
