ANGLO-JAPANESE TREATY.
THE MUTUAL ASSISTANCE CLAUSE.
(Received 12. 10.45 a.m.) Tokio, July 7 11. Owing to the projected AngloAmerican arbitration treaty, Japan has agreed to Britain’s proposal making the danse in the AngloJapanest alliance treaty- concerning mutual assistance in war inapplicable when either of the allies is fighting a nation with which the other has an arbitration treaty.
