TRAWLING AT NAPIER.
A SUCCESSFUL ARRANGE- ! MENT. : The trawler Savaii, which was; commissioned to fish under a spe-i cial agreement, between the Zealand Trawling ana Fish Supply . Co. and the Fishermen’s Union, left on her first trip on Monday fore- [ noon and returned to port, early on { Wednesday afternoon. We under-; stand that both the --ew and own-: ers are satisfied with the result, the catch comprising over 500 bundles | of fish. It is therefore not unlikely | that other vessels in the fleet will ! shortly be commissioned under the i same conditions. The special ar- [ rangements under which the A 7 avaii, is fishing permits of her running | out for three days at a time, thus; saving the waste of time steaming ; to and from the grounds each day. ; She is also specially lifted with an ; insulated chill room which enables ! the vessel to remain at sea for the time above mentioned, and ensures the catch being landed in first-class condition.
