Sir. —I think if the Mayor and the Councillors of the Hastings Borough Council took a walk along Karamu road (one of the main streets of the borough), they would see the necessity of providing a footpath for the . long-suffering residents of that locality. Last week two pedestrians going along the road at night were nearly run down by a trap, -a am. etc.. ONE ON THE ROAD. Karamu Road. Hastings, Ist July, 1911.
