EARTHQUAKES.
SCARE AT ’FRISCO. ! (Received 3. 8.5 a.m.) New fork. July 2. Earthquakes in Central California and Western Nevada did trivial damage. A panic seized the citizens of. San Francisco and Santarosa, who made a pell-mell rush from the ' large buildings. In ’Frisco the telephone and telegraph operators fled from their .posts, and servi-es were suspended until they realised the danger was past. A lodging-house inmate fell dead with fright. The judge, jury, and attorneys silting at ibo State Court in Carson City fled from the court Louse, fearing a collapse of the building. Reno also experienced the shock.
