LIVE STOCK SALES. BURNSIDE. Dunedin, June 28. Cattle.—One hundred and seventy were yarded, the majority being good to prime in .quality. There was a brisk demand, and prices were very firm at late rates. ‘Best bullocks JElO'lO.- to £l2/7.6. one truck extra heavy to £l5/12/6, medium to good £B<lo.-- to £s>/10/-, light £6/10/- to £7 10/-, best cows and heifers £B/10 - to £9'lo/-, medium to good £6/5 - to £7/10/-, light £4/10 - to £5/15 -. l‘at Sheep. —There was another very large yarding. 4800 being penned. The. quality all through was good. Mothers were not forward in large numbers and they sold at about late rates. Ewes showed a drop of about 11- per head; best wethers 19/6 to 21/-, extra io 23/9, medium to good 16/6 to 18/6, light 14/- to 15/6, best ewes 16/- to 17/6, extra to 20/9, medium to good 14/- to 15/6, light 8/6 to 12/6. Fat Lambs —3706 were penned. Competition was good and prices were about the» same at last week’s. Best 17/6 to 18/6, extra 20/9, medium 14/6 to 16/6, light and inferior 12/6 to 13/6. Pigs—There was a large yarding of porkers and baconers and values, were a good deal easier. Suckers and slips were in short supply butthere was no demand. Slips to 14/-, stores to 16/6, porkers 25/- to 34/6, light baconers 38/- to 47/6, heavy to 67/6. FROZEN MEAT MARKET. Dalgety and Company are in receipt of the following cable from their London House, under date 29th instant: —“Frozen meat, market quiet and prices unchanged.”
