COMMONWEALTH CENSUS.

INCREASE 670,692 IN TEN . YEARS. (Received 28, 10.10 a.m.) Melbourne, June 28. A preliminary count of the Census gives the complete population of the Commonwealth at 4,449,493, as compared with 3,773,801 ten years ago. The highest proportional increase is that of Westralia, 52 per centum. New South Wales shows an increase of 22 per cent, Queensland 21 per cent, South Australia 13 per cent, Tasmania 10| per cent, and Victoria 9| per cent.
