Since June 8 twelve boys from the training ship Amokura have completed their service, and have been drafted into the Royal Navy and mercantile marine. H. O. Stone, T. H. Swinbourne, E. N. Magnusson, T. W. Patton, and 8. E. Cole have joined H.M.S. Pioneer as boys, and w’ill serve for eight years. Several others have joined various coastal and intercolonial steamers as ordinary seamen and boys. The following eight have joined the vessel J. W. Watt, Timaru ; H. C. Bray, Puaha, Canterbury; A. M. B. McKenzie, Nelson; A. W. Westrupp, Nelson; E. S. Tunn, Gisborne; E. L. Maney, Hastings; A. C. Rawlings, Ashburton; and R. W. Widge,
