CORRESPONDENCE
[lt must be distinctly understood we are not to be identified with} the opinions expressed by corres-. pondents in our columns.] TO TUB EDITOR. Sir, —It is to be regretted that ! the officials of the Hawke’s Bay: Motor Cycle Club did not strictly! adhere to their programme for a, “hill-climbing contest.” If they: had called it a “race round cor-j ners” competition it would have: been right, but an onlooker would: certainly not call it (i.e., the! course) a hill. The course chosen ! gave every advantage to a high-1 geared light machine, but had the. competition really been a “hill-* climbing” one, with a steep out and! out grade, the results would have ■ been much different.—l am, etc., I SPORT. ;
