HILL-CLIMBING TESTS.

Nearly thirty motor cyclists taking part in the hill-climbing tests at Eskdale assembled at the Marine Parade, Napier, this morning, and after having their photograph taken by numerous photographers, set off on their journey. The hilllclimbing test consists of each motor bicycle in turn climbing to the top of the hill at Eskdale, the bicycle, of course, which does the distance in the shortest time is the winner. The Hastings contingent, numbering about fifteen, arrived in Napier in good time for the start. They left their assembling point (the Hastings Post Office) at about 9.20.
