ENTERTAINMENTS.
TAYLOR-CARRINGTON MISICAL COMEDY COMPANY.
To-night, in the Princess Theatre, Hastings, the talented “ T.-C ” company will present the farcical and musical comedies, “The Giri from Chicago” and “’Arry an.i ’Arriet.” At the present time comedy is all the rage, and the TaylorCarrington management have done wisely in catering for their patrons the particular class of entertainment they desire. People 1 ery much prefer, nowadays, to be amused than thrilled; so ■sensational drama is shelved for the *’ir::e being, and King Laughter reign: supreme. Several of the *nusi a! numbers are very much up-to- latc. one of which “ Flanagan,” s the sequel to last year’s musical success, “ Has Anyone Here seen Kelly 1” Another very great success is an entirely new song, entitled “ The Golden Daffodil ” — and there are others. There should be large audiences to enjoy what She posters term “ a night’s amusement at cheap prices.”
KING’S THEATRE, HASTINGS.
An enthusiastic audience greeted the Crystal Pictures on Saturday evening. The pick of the programme was a beautifully interpreted story entitled “The Vestall.” The dressing and staging in this picture is magnificent. “Servant and Guardian,” “The Son of Old Glory,” and “Queen of Hearts” were also well played dramas. The audience were taken on delightful journeys through “The Roga Valley,” “The Valley of Brathland,” “Singapore,” and “Africa.” A good supply of comic subjects were mingled in the programme. The best of these were “Daddy’s Did’ums Did It,” “Uncle Poorluck’s Excursion Ticket,” and “Who Did the Deed.” The second screening will take place this evening.
