THE DAVIS CUP. Sydney. June 12. The secretary of the Lawn -Tennis Association in a cable to South Africa expresses regret that South Afw* must withdraw from the Cup contest. The withdrawal leaves England and America to play off to determine which shal compete against Australia in the challenge round in December in New Zealand. It ■Spears as if England and America would play a tie in Australia, as America had definitely refused to go to London.
