RECIPROCITY BILL.
U.S. SENATE REJECTS AMEND-
MENTS.
Washington, June 9.
All the amendments except Mr. Root’s printing paper provision were rejected by the Senate Finance Committee by narrow majorities.
The House of Representatives’ offer of the Democratic Free List Bill as an amendment was rejected without division.
Senator Root’s amendment was adopted by 8 to 6. The bill will be reported to the Senate probably on Tuesday.
