The Union Company’s Tarawera is due this afternoon from Southern ports, and leaves at 8 p.m. for Gisborne and Auckland.
The Union Company’s Wairuna is expected to leave. Bluff to-day for Napier, Gisborne and Auckland, via Oamaiu and Timaru.
Niwaru left Wellington for Napier at 4.45 p.m. yesterday. Williams and Kettle, Limited, are her local agents.'
‘ The fire which took place on the I nion Company’s Haupiri on Monday was only of a trifling nature, and she left Auckland last night for Napier, via Limestone Island, East Coast'bays and Gisborne. The Tangaroa left for Wairoa at 8 o’clock this morning. The Te Aroha leaves Wairoa for Napier at 1 o’clock to-day. The Monowai replaces the Hauroto on her arrival at Dunedin, and will leave there for Northern ports on Friday. The movements of Messrs. Richardson and Co.’s steamers are as follows :—Ripple : Is due this evening from Wellington, and leaves on Thursday afternoon for Gisborne. Kahu: Arrived this morning from Wellington, and leaves again this afternoon for that port, via coast stations. Rnru : Is due to arrive tomorrow morning from Tokomaru Bay.
