Mr. Lloyd George attended a special meeting of the British Medical Association. The doctors demanded to be entirely freed from friendly societies. Mr. Lloyd George was favourable) suggesting they should come under a local committee, but he disagreed with the proposal that all men earning more than 40/- a week should be excluded from the' Insurance Bill
Mr. Lloyd George agreed that an insured patient should have free choice of doctors, subject to a safeguard against the choice of (doctors encouraging malingering.
MR. BALFOUR HELPS THE
BILL.
(Received 3, 10.20 a.m.) London, June 2. Mr. Balfour, in the House of Commons, offered facilities to assist the Government in amending and carrying the Insurance Bill.
