Mr. Lloyd George attended a special meeting of the British Medical Association. The doctors demanded to be entirely freed from friendly societies. Mr. Lloyd George was favourable) suggesting they should come under a local committee, but he disagreed with the proposal that all men earning more than 40/- a week should be excluded from the' Insurance Bill

Mr. Lloyd George agreed that an insured patient should have free choice of doctors, subject to a safeguard against the choice of (doctors encouraging malingering.
