EXPEDITIONS AGAINST REBELS. Tangier, May 30. Captain Moreau has arrived at Mishrabashr with orders to undertake operations against the mountaineers who are defying El Merani's column. El Merani obstinately refused to allow Europeans to accompany him. fearing it would still further incite the rebels. Friendly tribes at Fez are carrying out reprisals against the rebels in the vicinity despite France’s promise that French support will not be used to cover the Sultan’s vindictive tendencies. KEEPING IN TOUCH. (Received 31. 10.30 a.m.) Tangier. May 30. A wireless station is being established at Fez.
