A policy i was agreed to as follows: —To closely watch all social movements ' and propaganda, ami keep itself {fully informed thereof; to take all ; steps within its power to ensure ! that laws and regulations shall be 'formulated, executed, and admin- ! istered by moderate and honourable citizens; to oppose the election or appointment of unsuitable > ! persons to any office ; in particular Ito oppose any reduction in the j three-fifths majority in connection i with national or local option, to ! oppose any attempt to abolish the | sale of liquor, and altogether supi port all reasonable regulation of I the liquor* traffic; to oppose any (further restriction on reasonable ' gaming by adults, and to oppose ; any restriction on the enjoyment by individuals of reasonable recreation on Sundavs.
