H.M.S. Cambrian brought over from Sydney a huge case containing a trophy in the shape of the figurehead of H.M.S. “Vigaro,” which was serving on the Australian Station between the years 1857 and 1871. She was a 6-gun sloop launched in 1842. The trophy, at the request of Archdeacon Walsh, has been sent out by th Admiralty authorities for the use of the Auckland Museum.
