Judge Carbajal, representing the Fed erats, announced that a general armistice is probable in 24 hours. Madero, while discussing peace, was preparing for war. He said an attack on Chihuahua would be the next step, and Mexico City the goal, all between falling inevitably into his hands. He was hopeful of peace and trusted ms adversaries would recognise the futility of opposition without causing more bloodshed.
