THREE BOYS IN A BOAT
A BRAVE YOUTH S ACTION. [PEP. PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, May 15. ' Three boys named Cecil Ellison, aged 15, William Curley, aged 14, Alfred Hart, aged 14, were capsized in the harbour at 7 p.m. yester-. day. They were returning from i Day’s Bay in a 12ft scow, and when' about half a mile from the boat! harbour a sudden squall capsized the boat. Ellison got his com-i panions on the bottom of the cap- > sized craft and started to swim ashore. Meantime the notice of the harbour officials had been at-. tracted by calls from the boat; the : two lads were picked up, and search was then made for Ellison, who was severely handicapped by knickers and sweater. He gamely struggled on for assistance, and later on was picked up suffering from cramp. His brave action will be brought under the Humane Society’s notice.
