CORRESPONDENCE

[lt must be distinctly understood we are not to be identified wdtb the opinions expressed by Correspondents in our columns.] MR. TAYLOR S GIFT. TO THE EDITOR. Sir. —Councillor T. E. Taylor deserves the thanks of every person residing in Napier South. His geniTOiis gift to the council of a life-saving apparatus speaks volumes. It would not be out of place if the borough were to purchase two or three extra ones for use along our beach. Mr. Taylor s forethought may lie the means of saving many lives. and will prove a good tiling for the bathers, who. f hope, will take every advantage of it and start a life-saving club at Napier South. —Yours, etc..

RATEPAYER Napier, 6th May. 1911.

the subject as we have is that an improvident marriage is npich better for humanity than no marriage at all. The worst form of improt idence is for people to avoid marriage on the grounds of expense. ’ —London Evening Times.
