Berlin. May 8. Advices from Wifndhoek. German South-West Africa, state that. Baron von Waeehter. a Government official, was sentenced to 16'. months’ imprisonment on a charge of perjury. He denied the authorship of an anonymous letter produced at the trial at which Vonroy. a journalist, was convicted and sentenced for a term of imprisonment. Vonrov had brought certain charges against officials of the protectorate. Handwriting experts pronounceil the letters to I--- von Waccht er’s. The prosecution suggested that they were written with, the object of diverrirg suspicion iwi himself.
