Advices from Jerusalem suggest that the story of theft from the Mosque of Omar, as cabled on the 4th inst.. is unfounded, and is attributed to a political desire t o discredit the Governor of .Jerusalem and Sheik Khabil. who is acting as custodian of the Mosque.
