Wellington, May 5. The New Zealand Farmers' Co* aperative Distributing Co., Ltd., report as follows Potatoes are in full supply, very large consignments arriving from South, no doubt in anticipation of a decline in values when the main Southland crop comes in. The quality’ of Canterbury' onions is still fair, and they sell freely. Vegetables and fruit are unchanged from last week, excepting that cabbage is high in price. Fresh eggs have taken a sharp decline, now quoting at ]/10. and preserved will probably weaken somewhat. Walnuts are in good demand. Potatoes —Prime, £5 to £6 per ton.
Onions—Globes, £5/10/- per ton. Cabbage—4/- to 7/6 per sack. Green Peas—Hutt, 1/- per peck. French Beans —lu per lb. Carrots—3 6 to 4/- per sack. Swedes. —1/6 to 2/6 sack. Cauliflower—6/- to 7/- per sack. Marrows —1/6 to 3’- per sack. Turnips—White, 4d to 5d doz. Lettuce —3/- to 4/9 per case. Pumpkins—3/- to u/- per sack. Pie Melons —3 - P er sack. Cucumbers. —3/6 per half-case. Passion Fruit—N.Z., 5'- to 5/6 half-case.
