NAPIER

The vital statistics for the district of Napier last month are :—Births 41, marriages 21, deaths 9. The figures for the corresponding, month of last year were : —Births 35, marriages 12, deaths 10. During the past four months mere have been 146 births. 59 marriages and 48 deaths, as comparea with 118 births 46 marriages, and 46 deaths registered during the corresponding period of last year.

The vital statistics at Hastings for the month of April were as follows : —Births 23, marriages 14, deaths 3. The figures for the corresponding mom,ii of last year were births 16, marriages 9, deaths 4. During the past four months there have been 103 births, 33 marriages, and 25 deaths, as compared with 87 births, 26 marriages, and 23 deaths during the corresponding period in 1910.
