THE SOLAR ECLIPSE.
An eclipse of the sun occurred this morning. Viewed from the Dominion, as its central line lies well to the northward, passing through the Tongan Islands and Friendly Islands, it was not a
total eclipse. The sky at Hastings unfortunately overcast and the view, but at Auckthe sky was dear and people privileged to see about of the sun’s diameter shape.
