Lundon, Stewart and Co., Ltd., repor having held their monthly stock sale at Otane on Friday last, when they offered a fair yarding of sheep and a good yarding of cattle to a good attendance of buyers. They report the following sales: —100 fat and forward ewes 9/1, 49 cull lambs 3/3, 39 store ewes 4/3, 39 cull lambs 3/2. Fat cows: — From £3/15/- to £6/2/-, 1 springing cow £7/5/-, 4 heifers in calf £3, 10

18-mos steers £3/9/-, 13 18-mos to 2-yr steers £4/3/6, 5 weaner calves 17/6, 12 2.} to 3-yr steers £6, 2 weaner steers £l/11/-. The Hawke’s Bay Stockbrokers’ Association report having held their usual monthly stock sale at Otane yesterday, when they offered a moderate entry of sheep and cattle to a small attendance of buyers. The bulk of the entry consisted of small lots, and, with the exception of good quality stuff, the sale was somewhat disappointing.

Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report:— 73 6-th ewes 10/-, 17 fat lambs 10/4, 23 fat ewes 9/4, 152 2-th ewes 10/9.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report:—

88 ewes and lambs 6/6, 44 forward ewes 7/3, 45 cull lambs 3/-, 3 forward lambs 7/8. Williams and Kettle, Ltd., report : —lOO forward ewes 7/-, 60 4 and 6-th and f.m. ewes (in lamb) 8/3, 131 4,6, and 8-th empty ewes 7/3. 140 lambs (mixed sexes) 5/7. •15 2-th wethers 10/9.
